    The Day trip Start at Nungwi and visit Portuguese ruins dating back to the sixteen century in Fukuchani village; This place has the remains of large house, which is thought to be built in 16th Century by Swahili people. The house was built of coral bricks. The ruins here are much more impressive and in good condition. It is also possible from here to get clear view of Tumbatu island (among the oldest Swahili Towns in East Africa). The place is between Nungwi and Mkwajuni


    then visit cool down in a nearby cave filled by the tide of the sea with crystal water , this cave was historically used by the Portuguese to bathe

    Then learn about how the local blacksmiths make tools and nails using recycled material in the village of kilimani , you can even have a go yourself

    Adventure through stunning coral caves which have only recently been discovered in Tazari village , these caves hold crystal rocks such as stalactites and stalagmites
