Zanzibar Island is suitable for water sport activities like , diving, fishing, snorkeling, dhow cruises, kayaking, windsurfing, waterskiing, parasailing, jet-skiing, kiteboarding and other marine activities. The dive operation comprises of 5* Gold Palm resorts at Paradise Beach Hotel and Kendwa Rocks. We can also serve you from a number of other hotels. All centres offer the full range of PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving, for people who have never dived before, up to Open Water Scuba Instructor for those who have decided to take the plunge and go professional. dive centres recognized by the diving safety organization, DAN Southern Africa, when they introduced the ‘Diving Safety Partnership’ scheme

The crystal clear tropical waters surrounding the island of Zanzibar are home to some of the world’s most diverse sea life and colourful reefs. At Mnemba Atoll marine park turtles are a common site and are used to seeing divers. At least three pods of dolphins live in the area and are seen on almost all trips and the majestic whale sharks migrates past the island twice a year. Around the same time of year whales can be seen and a pod of rare humpback dolphins have been sighted many times. These strange creatures number only twelve hundred in the world and we are lucky enough to have around forty in the area.
    Waterskiing

The sea in front of Nungwi is calm for most of the year and is a good place for waterskiing and wake-boarding. Our speedboat ‘Anastasia’ is powered by a 115hp Mercury engine that produces the perfect ride, flexible for all levels. Our skis are suitable for beginners and our experienced captains can give you some pointers to improve your skills. We also have mono-skis and available.

For those who prefer to be on one board rather than two we have wake-boards available. We have two different boards in the dive centre so you can see which one suits your style best. Again, the captains are experienced wake-boarders and can show you new tricks and cool new moves.

For raw adrenalin try the ringos. These large inflatable rings are pulled behind a boat to at a time at speeds of up to 30mph and bounce across the water while you try to hold on. Fast turns, big jumps and bumping into your friend in the other ringo can be the very definition of excitement!
    Kite Surfing

Kiteboarding is one of the newest and fastest growing extreme sports. What makes kiteboarding so appealing is that it’s safe and easy to learn, and is an exciting sport for people of all ages and ability.

Our kiteboarding partner centre uses Cabrinha and NPX equipment, offering a professional approach with fully equipped and experienced staff who ensure the safety of our clients at all times.

Zanzibar is a kiteboarding paradise location: Virtually untouched crystal clear, tropical shallow water, lagoons, islands and bays.

Sun, wind and wave are best January/February and July/August but conditions are often good from December – March and June – September. Wind blows left to right for the first season´s trade winds and switches the second season. Average air temperature is 30C/86F, water 27C/80F. For long days and down winders, a shorty is recommended.
